Snakes are spiders are normally known to be the creepiest things you may encounter on the trail. However, at Constitution Lakes Park in Atlanta, Georgia, there’s something that is the epitome of creepy. The Doll’s Head Trail that’s located in this park is full of doll’s heads and possibly the most unsettling scene you’ve ever laid your eyes on.
This park didn’t always look like this though. Before, it was home to a 19th-century brick factory. But, as the brickworks shut down around 50 years ago, the surrounding wilderness overtook the area. The clay pits eventually filled with rainwater and created the ponds that are now called the Constitution Lakes.
In 2003, the site was purchased by Dekalb County, Georgia which installed trails and boardwalks. That way, anyone could enjoy the natural beauty of this site.
However, the Doll’s Head Trail is definitely what makes this park different from the rest of them. I mean, it’s not everyday you get to see a site full of doll’s heads and other accessories placed randomly all over the place, is it?
Local carpenter Joel Slaton created the trail after noticing junks including doll parts, as well as bottles, hunks of old brick, and even appliances all over the place.
Now, every hiker is encouraged to add something to this trail as long as it’s created using the “found” materials on the park.
